"The weather here in Amsterdam changes by the hour leaving most of us shaking our head in amazement or confusion. The snow is still on the ground but melting as I write." ~Theo
MONDAY
Hoofing it in the Red Light district.
TUESDAY
Morning walk over the Hippo bridge looking out towards the Gooier windmill.
WEDNESDAY
Boats doing their thing in the Nieuwe Vaart while the Ooster kerk (east church) across the water waits to do hers.
THURSDAY
The snow fell, kept falling and filled Amsterdam with a soft, empty quiet. Even the houseboats nestled in for a winter nap.
FRIDAY
Chilly seats. Mittens and thermal underwear strongly advised.
SATURDAY
Kattenburger plein (across from the maritime museum) dressed in a party gown of snow and light.
Incredible photos, Theo! Now I know what Amsterdam is like in the dead of winter: Biting cold but absolutely beautiful. What an eye you have. Paul likes the last one best. He said it's amazing how those hands swell up in the chill!

ReplyDeletewould love to go to Amsterdam. Maybe not in the winter.
